"Celebrating Creative Capital"
The City of Toledo unveiled its strategic plan for arts and culture at the Mayor's November 14th Summit on the Arts, Education and Technology. The plan was created by Mayor Jack Ford's Task Force for Arts and Culture, a committee consisting of 40 volunteers in the business, education and arts industries in Northwest Ohio.
The city has developed a strategic plan for arts and culture that identifies the following priorities that will make the greater Toledo arts and cultural community more visible: developing synergy among the arts, culture and economic development, expanding the city's master plan to support artistic and cultural venues, strengthening partnerships between artists and art groups, and enhancing arts leadership.
The strategic plan is available at the Arts Commission of Greater Toledo's offices located at 1838 Parkwood Avenue, Suite 120. For directions to the Arts Commission call 419-254-2787. All comments and concerns regarding the strategic plan should be directed to Susan Reams, Arts Consultant for the City of Toledo at 419-245-1559.
